This documentation-driven project honors the exquisite arrangement of glass residue underneath my bench at the end of every work period. Down below is an arrangement of glass trimmings, cut offs, mishaps, and other glass waste - all the byproduct responsible for bringing stemware to life - accumulating as an art installation all its own. It is the residue of repetition and discipline, but an arrangement built entirely by chance.
Over a three-year period, I photographed this moment at the end of a 6-hour cup making slot and posted the image on social media as part of a self-initiated #endofslotsurvey campaign. The archive I built of digital imaging has now turned into an archive of physical photographs, each print including the date of the work period pictured.
