Recent explorations into visually obscuring a current artist statement (at the time) have lent way to the interest in translating how the written word is seen into how it might be heard.

Although not directly involving glass, the irony of pursuing a small body of work that seeks to complicate the clarity of words is not lost on me. Language is a very glassy medium. And in my conceptual draw towards instances of resonant conflict - that weird space where tension intersects with harmony - this work helps further feed a curiosity about various ways in which vernaculars of nonsense can live in a mysterious realm of articulation all their own.
