Residue

Blown Glass, Time, Temperature,
Video (6 hours condensed down to 4:16)
2016

A time-based observational project that captures the residue of my cup making placing itself underneath my work bench during a 6-hour work period. The video below is sped up to condense six hours of work into a 4-ish minute whirlwind of labor by both gaffer and assistant.

“The remnants of choice and circumstance at the bench above giving shape to a topography of residue, discard, and mishap down below. A landscape of glass abandon, a landmass of its own accord. Built over time and placed by the hands of gravity and chance.”
